mommy's little supadupaflygirl

Mommy's Little SupaDupaFlyGirl

Tis' January Twenty-seventh
Nineteen hundred and Eighty-eight

The clock chimes spoke
Precisely at three

In the twilight morn
Before the sunrise

My little SupaDupaFlyGirl
Brought tears to my eyes

My tears of pain, I've long forgotten
But that moment is mine for all eternity
Her head tore me open
The doctor ignores

He gently cradles her head, shoulders, legs
And keeps her from falling upon the floor

She let out a wail
A cry so loud
Her Father was startled
And then he just smiled

His little SupaDupaFlyGirl
Is warning the world

I nursed her to my breast
Strong and healthy she grew
As newborns do

And it was in
Church
Snow white is her silk gown
The Sacrament of Baptism
Mother and Father
Poured holy water over her crown

She is a child of my dreams
Even as she was a tempest at three

Strong-willed, healthy and intelligent
I saw she grew to be

First Confession

Holy Communion

Confirmation

Catholic school she excels
Almighty God must be pleased

I can't help but hold back
Tears of joy
When she addresses me
"Mom please..."

A young woman is she now
Oh, how beautiful
Is her soul

Today the world is her playground
God's will for her shall be

My greatest hope
That we walk together
In our Father's eternal kingdom
I have lots of memories
To tell her about

Yes, mommy's little

SupaDupaFlyGirl

Will always be apart
Of her Father and me

And I cherish my memories
Upon that morning twilight

Tis' January Twenty-seventh
Nineteen hundred and Eighty-eight

The clock chimes spoke
Precisely at three

In the twilight morn
Before the sunrise

My little SupaDupaFlyGirl
Brought tears to my eyes
